Devil's Peak from South Africa now gracing the UK!

So much great stuff is going on in the UK’s beer scene, not just with new local breweries opening every day but more and more breweries from afar showing up on our doorstep with a six pack of EPIC mouth-watering brews! That’s why when we heard that Devil's Peak Brewing Company from South Africa had now hit the UK’s beer scene and were in full flow, we just HAD to give their notoriously good brews a go! Born and raised in Cape Town South Africa the original Brewery is nestled at the foot of Devil's Peak mountain, a peak that overshadows the iconic landscape around the Cape Town skyline. The brewery has now become one of the leading pioneers on the South African craft beer scene, now rated the number 1 brewery in South Africa on both RateBeer.com and Untapped.Their core range are now brewed by the awesome team at Fierce to ensure that beer is as fresh as it can possibly be. However word on the street is that these are due to be supplemented with limited edition and special releases imported directly from the brewery in South Africa. When the brews arrived, we just couldn’t wait to crack these baby’s open!..

Devil's Peak - Dead Reckoning (Juicy IPA) 7% abv

Beer Yeti review of Devil's Peak Brewery beers from Cape Town in South AfricaAppearance: Deep Autumn Brown / Orange, very hazy, slightly carbonated, with an off white thick, fluffy head.Aroma: Freshly cut pine, followed by a cracking fruity mix of sweet citrus and spice.Flavour: A blast of tropical fruit, finished off with a bitter hoppiness and orange tang.Quite rustic, warming the belly but at 7% dangerously easy to drink!Available to purchase here and for more info click here.


 Devil's Peak -Toe the Line (Juicy IPA) 6% abv

Beer Yeti review of Devil's Peak Brewery beers from Cape Town in South AfricaAppearance: Deep amber, with a slight haze and minimal head that leaves a fair bit of lacing on the side of the glass.Aroma: Very sweet and citrusy, with a splash of tropical fruit and a dash of bitter orange peel and honey.Flavour: A big burst of citrusy orange finished off with a hit of bitter orange peel.The cracking bitter-sweet combination of flavours makes this brew perfectly balanced and mega easy to drink, almost like a breakfast juice!Available to purchase here and for more info click here.


Devil's Peak - Push The Boat Out (Sour Pale Ale) 5.5% abv

Beer Yeti review of Devil's Peak Brewery beers from Cape Town in South AfricaAppearance: Deep hazy Amber, with a slightly off-white moderate  sized head that reduces quickly, leaving a slight reminiscence on the surface and a tad bit of lace on the side of the glass.Aroma: Sour cherry, with a hint of lemongrass and a slight warming hoppiness, laced with sweet honey.Flavour: A bold blast sour cherry Bakewell, followed by a dash of sweetness finished off with a slight dry hoppy ending.
