The gluten-free market has been growing steadily in recent years, bringing new, previously-unenlightened souls into the beer drinking world. And with more options, our gluten-intolerant friends get to be a little more discerning with their craft brews. We’ve got our hands on a few that really hit the mark whether you want gluten in your beers or not!


Hepworth & Co Brewers – Iron Horse (Pale Ale, 4.8%)

Brewed in West Sussex, Hepworth & Co Brewers looks and acts the part of a traditional brewery, but they’re not afraid to try something a little different, with most of their beers brewed to be naturally gluten-free and vegan-friendly, without additives.The Beer Yeti top gluten free beers including, award winning wold top brewery marmalade porter, hepworths iron horse, anarchy brew co. exileAppearance: Pale, golden orange. A very lively pour, with a head that reduces quickly but comes right back with a swirl of the glass.Aroma: Toasted malt biscuit and dried apricot straight off the nose. The yeast brings a touch of banana.Flavour: Lighter-bodied but rounded taste, with well-integrated hops to balance the malt. Shandy with lime, melon, and a sweet biscuit maltiness that falls away to give a refreshing, bitter finish in the mouth.[/su_column][/su_row]Very much a traditional pale ale, sitting on the English Bitter side of the palate. Wold Top Brewery – Marmalade Porter (Porter, 6.0%)

Founded by two farmers in the Yorkshire Wolds, this family-run business has come a long way from brewing in a barn. This particular beer was voted the UK winner at the World Beer Awards in 2017 for the porter category; meaning, there’s not much more we need say to convince you, but we’ll crack on anyway.The Beer Yeti top gluten free beers including, award winning wold top brewery marmalade porter, hepworths iron horse, anarchy brew co. exileAppearance: Pours a hazelnut brown that turns to a dense, dark brown in the glass. The head reduces but leaves a thin crema.Aroma: Sweet malt, chocolate, and an already perceptible bitter orange. Molasses, with a touch of black liquorice.Flavour: Lighter texture, with plenty of flavour. Toasted bread, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans and orange peel provide a great package. Warm, dark malt, with a decent bitter finish that lingers at the back of the mouth.A dark brew to be savoured, preferably at the end of an evening.
