Goskino vs Burning Soul Review

A little bleary-eyed from the events that we had already attended, we headed over to yet another event that was earmarked as one of the highlights of #BrumBW17. Burning Soul Brewing were doing what they do best… opening their doors, pumping in lots of great music, with plenty of great brews! Except this time there was a twist, three piece garage rock band Goskino were having a jam in the brewery, could there have been a better pairing?A picture from Birmingham beer week at the burning soul brewery vs goskino organised by Midlands Beer Blog CollectiveWe’d seen the event which was supported by Midlands Beer Blog Collective on the social media a lot during the run up to the event but it wasn’t until we bumped into Chris one evening down the Pup and Duckling and saw the excitement in is eyes that we knew, we HAD to come!A picture from Birmingham beer week at the burning soul brewery vs goskino organised by Midlands Beer Blog CollectiveWhen we arrived the place was bustling, with the smell of fab food drifting though the air, brought to us by Trailer Trash (the tacky 70’s caravan that has now been converted to THE place to get a cracking feed). Many punters were mingling with a burger in one hand and a flavoursome brew in the other. The beer line-up was EPIC and as always Burning Soul definitely didn’t disappoint. With plenty of beers flowing, Goskino laid down some fuzz at what could only be described as a retro 80’s garage party with plenty of great craft beer!A picture from Birmingham beer week at the burning soul brewery vs goskino organised by Midlands Beer Blog CollectiveIt was nice to see a great crowd with plenty of other brewers and people involved in the industry about the place, including Catherine Webber from BrumBeerBabs who had a hand in helping organise the event. Overall it was great to see what great action that we have locally, not only brewery and food-wise, but music-wise too!More of this PLEASE Burning Soul, hats off to everyone who organised or attended events during #BrumBW17 and well done to the Birmingham Beer Week organisers who pulled off a truly EPIC week. Let’s hope that there are plenty more of these to come!
