Anarchy Brew Co. officially launches their EPIC new brewery at midday on Saturday 27th October. The brewery that was set up by Dawn and Simon Miles, started life on Whitehouse Farm in Morpeth back in 2012. They have since reached capacity, so the Anarchy team have been working on the move since July this year.

“We originally were moving to another site in Morpeth but luckily it fell through last minute and we found this gem,” said co-owner Dawn Miles.

This marks the end of what will be a monumental year for the brewery, which has just rebranded much of the Anarchy range, including their first ever brew ‘Blonde Star’ which to this day it is still their most popular beer. They have also launched three new recipes… Cult Leader, Dirty Ivan, and the MEGA JUICY ‘Flat Out’ IPA.

The brand new 20-barrel site will boast a tap room which will be open every Friday and Saturday from 12pm-10pm.

“The biggest challenge for us has been coordinating production between the 2 sites while systematically moving pieces of the kit down. We also split up the team for a few months to work on the different sites, using the mostly brand new equipment has also come with its own set of challenges for the brewers. The new brewery itself has been built by the staff with very little help too. We have done everything from building the bar, coldstore, drainage, painting and had our designers come in to do some great artwork for us!”

The new site is also bang in the middle of Newcastle city centre, which makes it way more accessible, with plenty of transport links so that plenty of craft beer lovers can visit from afar!

“We are so excited to be in the new brewery and closer to Newcastle. We cannot wait to get more involved in local events and to really get things up and running in the tap room. We are proud of the team, all of their hard work over the last few months and are looking forward to getting back to normal!
