The Brewgooder collaborative campaign Global Gathering has unfortunately taken a few blows over the past week with Covid-19 now hitting the brewing industry hard. There were plenty of planned events and fundraisers over the World Water Day weekend that have now had to be cancelled. The campaign united 250 breweries to bring clean water to 100,000 people, with each brewery producing a dedicated beer to suit.

Despite the industry being in a tricky situation at the moment, this past week has really brought everyone together in what has been an incredibly difficult time. Brewgooder has asked everyone to support the #BGG2020 brewers and their local brewers over the coming weeks and months. They’ve compiled a list of partner brewers to go online, grab take-away or get beer delivered from along with any relevant promo codes… click here.

Many of the breweries have released their Global Gathering Beers including this awesome brew that Wild Beer Co kindly sent to us. “No Water" is a chocolate orange milkshake stout and as it says on the tin, no water was used to brew this. Instead they used whey from their neighbour’s Westcombe Dairy which is a great way to utilise a waste product. The beer itself is fantastic, a zesty orange aroma with a touch of vanilla and cacao which is followed through into the flavour and met with a creamy mouth feel. 🍻Brewgooder have also now released their second core range beer to celebrate their 4th birthday - ‘Chilloozy’ is an easy drinking 3.7% session IPA inspired by, and named after, the first clean water project that their foundation funded in the Chiluzi area of Malawi back in 2016.

If you want to get your hands on this new beer, head over to their website, enter ‘COMMUNITY’ at checkout for 20% off. Now is a better time than any to support campaigns like this and don’t forget to check out their list of breweries to support too.
