Three Cracking Brews from Hanlons!

We got a cracking set of brews sent to us through the post this week from Hanlons, a Family owned brewery built on a farm in Half Moon, Devon. Their mission: “to produce world class craft beers…that [their] customers love.” Sounds like a plan, so lets see how these brews lined up!..

Yellow Hammer Ale 4.2% abv

This is finished off with a fantastic mix of hoppy bitterness counteracted by a small hint of toffee sweetness.[/su_column][/su_row]Definitely unique and its appearance is slightly deceptive, giving you a lot more flavour than what is expected... It’s really refreshing too!

Stormstay 5.0% abv

[su_row][su_column size="1/2"]A picture of Yellow Hammer, Stormstay and Port Stout for the Hanlon's beer review, brewery from Half Moon, Devon [/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]This brew has won the prestigious Champion Beer of Britain Silver award.Appearance: Deep, dark copper with a head that laces quickly.Aroma: Hints of caramel/ butterscotch, very sweet and slightly boozy.Flavour: The caramel carried into the rich flavour. It has a hint of fruity sweetness, which is mellowed by the citrusy finish created by the hops.[/su_column][/su_row]An outstandingly refreshing bitter!

Port Stout 4.8% abv

[su_row][su_column size="1/2"]A picture of Yellow Hammer, Stormstay and Port Stout for the Hanlon's beer review, brewery from Half Moon, Devon [/su_column] [su_column size="1/2"]This one is inspired by a traditional morning after reviver and won a Champion Beer of Britain award last year!Appearance: Nice frothy, beige head that reminisces for quite some time. Raising the glass to the light, makes you feel like you are peering into the deep, dark, black abyss.Aroma: Rich, chocolate and coffee notes, with a slight fruity underlay.[/su_column][/su_row]Flavour: A chocolate/ coffee bitterness, fruity finish and port punch that dances on the tongue.A beautifully balanced brew!So all in all some world class craft beers and WE LOVE THEM!Available to buy online from November. For more info, check out their Website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. This feature is a paid for promotion.
