Indy Man Beer Con 2019

Indy Man has become a staple of the UK’s craft beer scene and recently hosted its 8th year at the beautiful Grade II listed Victoria Baths in Manchester. Yet again, it’s proven to be one of the best beer festivals in the UK, with people travelling from all over the country to get involved.Indy Man Beer Con, beer festival review 2019, in Manchester, including Pohjala, Fantome and Lervig The Victoria Baths are an absolutely stunning venue for the festival, and a nice change from the usual warehouses and halls that you come to expect. The breweries were mainly situated in the empty swimming baths themselves, of which there are three. Outside of this there were rooms for Omnipollo, Fierce, Deya, Siren, and many more from the craft beer world.Indy Man Beer Con, beer festival review 2019, in Manchester, including Pohjala, Fantome and Lervig We immediately made our way over to Põhjala's stand where we tried a salted porcini mushroom imperial porter as well as their new Pilsner, both were awesome. Moving on from there, we were spoilt for choice on where to go next, settling on a Hogan’s Cider whilst we studied the map… there is a ridiculous amount to choose from, if you wanted to try something from every brewery you would need the full three days!Indy Man Beer Con, beer festival review 2019, in Manchester, including Pohjala, Fantome and Lervig Whilst still struggling to decide, we had a look around to see what was on offer. The street-food line-up was amazing, as expected, we moved on to the bottle shop which had an enormous array of offerings at really great prices. Next to the bottle shop was Lervig, one of our favourite breweries who are always offering up amazing beers.Indy Man Beer Con, beer festival review 2019, in Manchester, including Pohjala, Fantome and Lervig We made our way back inside where I grabbed Fantôme’s amazing Dark Forest Ghost and spent some time in room 3 where the DJ’s were on. There was such an amazing range of beers on offer and to be honest, you have to be pretty careful not to get too carried away.Indy Man Beer Con, beer festival review 2019, in Manchester, including Pohjala, Fantome and Lervig It was great to see so many people turn out, the entire vibe was excellent and we can’t wait to make our way up again next year!
