London Beer City Opening Party

It was always going to be a great weekend, but the weather just made it EPIC! Soaring into the mid twenties, London was basking in glorious sunshine and being a beer lover visiting from the Midlands, there was no better place to top up my tan then at the London Beer City Opening party. The setting was perfect, in the The Five Points Brewing Company Warehouse Yard, which is situated underneath railway arches in Hackney… The perfect place to have a beer party![su_row][su_column size="1/2"]A picture from the beer Yeti review of the London Beer City opening party at the Five Points Brewery[/su_column][su_column size="1/2"]The event was showcasing over 40 beers on both keg and cask, from some of the best breweries in the capital. There was even a collaboration summer brew from Fourpure, Five Points, Fuller’s and Beavertown, which I was unfortunately too late for… it must have been good![/su_column][/su_row]The place was heaving, everyone was in party-mode with great tunes and amazing food including Italian-American street-food from Capish? also some epic Pitta Chips called Soffles, love em! The event was also hosting talks and tutored tastings and you could even pick up your very own brew kit![su_row][su_column size="1/2"]A picture from the beer Yeti review of the London Beer City opening party at the Five Points Brewery[/su_column][su_column size="1/2"]It was nice to find that the first beer was free. Firstly I went for the Moncada Brewery Summer, an easy drinking Pale Ale with refreshing citrusy flavours and hints of tropical fruit. At 3.2%, it was perfect for the hot weather.Second on the cards was Five Points Pale (4.4%), another great citrusy brew, with hints of tropical fruit and a nicely balanced bitterness. So London Beer City definitely hit it off with style and I will definitely be returning to this yard again soon![/su_column][/su_row]Images courtesy of Lisa Bray Photography
