Cooking with beer: Chocolate Stout Cookies!

Here’s something to ruin your new years diet!… Stout cookies, the perfect beery way to beat the January blues!Prep time: 20 minsCook time: 15 minsIngredients225g unsalted butter, at room temp2 eggs200g (1 cup) White sugar200g (1 cup) Brown sugar125ml (½ cup) Stout (We used Sadler’s Mud City Stout)600g (2½ cups) Flour75g Cocoa Powder2 tsp Baking Powder½ tsp saltInstructionsPreheat oven to 180ºC (fan).Whisk together the butter, sugar, eggs and Stout until the mixture is light and fluffy.Sieve and mix together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until thick and dough-like.Drop tablespoons of dough onto a greased tray.Bake at 180ºC for 15 minutes.Take out of the oven and leave to cool for 10 minutes.Enjoy responsibly! ;)
