Birmingham Beer Week returns for a third year!

The brilliant Birmingham Beer Week is back for the third time since its debut in 2017 and looks set to be another amazing year! There’s been a huge line up of events announced spanning from 19th July and finishing up on the 28th. 

Birmingham Beer Week is a celebration of the city’s epic, ever-expanding beer scene, bringing together a plethora of the city’s breweries, restaurants, bars, and shops, for a week of collaboration and entertainment. This year’s collaboration brew is Zwillinge, a Raspberry and Basil Gose, a beer brewed from the coming together of Attic Brew Co, Birmingham Brewing Co, Davenports, Halton Turner Brewing, Lab Culture Brewing, Ostlers, and Two Towers Brewery

Birmingham Brewery Based Beer Board

First look at the new Pint Shop in Birmingham, craft beer, beer yeti review

When: 19th – 28th July

Where: Pint Shop

Details: A week-long tap takeover featuring beers from a range of Birmingham based breweries. 

For the entire length of Birmingham Beer Week, Pint Shop’s 30 taps will consist of beers from breweries such as Burning Soul, Birmingham Brewing Company, and Fixed Wheel. They have also created a 3-course set menu of Fried Beer Brined Chicken, Beer Batter Fish, and Birmingham Stout Affogato, that will be on offer during the event, all for £15 p/p. 


The Birmingham Beer Debate

When: 22nd July from 19:15 – 21:15

Where: The Old Joint Stock

Details: A panel of some of the UK’s best beer experts will be providing a talk, followed by the opportunity to ask questions.

Chaired by Brett Laniosh, former director of CAMRA and founder of The Beer Consultancy, a panel made up of industry experts from across the UK will be discussing beer, the industry, and the developments we can expect to see in the future. A ticket is only £3 and includes a complimentary pint sponsored by Fullers. This is definitely not one to be missed.

Details: To celebrate Birmingham Beer Week, Head of Steam have put together an amazing list of Omnipollo beers, all available as soft serves!

Every day they will be soft serving two Omnipollo beers until they run out. Don’t expect these to be around long as we’re sure there will be huge demand. So head down early and make sure you get the chance to grab one before they’re gone.

Clink, Beer Digbeth for Birmingham beer week

When:  27th July at 2pm

Where: Beer Digbeth (Formerly Clink)

Details: Beer Digbeth have put together a line-up of 10 bottles of strange and rare beers from their cellar.

Tasting is free, though a £20 minimum donation towards Birmingham Beer Week’s charity, Clic Sargent (Young Lives vs Cancer), is expected. There aren’t many places available, so if you’re up for it head down to the bar to book your spot!
