The question has been put to us more than once… What are the best beer festivals? So we’ve decided to let our little Yeti researchers do a bit of work and shortlist the ultimate top 5 beer festivals for you guys to visit and enjoy in 2015! So here’s what we found and don’t worry, these all have plenty of good atmosphere and heaps of amazing beer!


 

Great AMerican Beer Festival – Denver CO

As the festival beer offerings continue to grow, this year’s GABF provides novice and seasoned beer lovers even more opportunities to learn about what they are imbibing, including support from the new Beer Geeks program.
“This year’s GABF will be better than ever, with 14 percent more breweries participating in the festival (over last year) and more beers to choose from. The festival hall is expansive; coming in with a game plan for navigating the hall will make for a fun fan experience. Our fantastic volunteer servers play an integral role in assisting the brewers bring the experience to life for attendees,” said Nancy Johnson, event director, Brewers Association. “The Beer Geek program is an opportunity to further educate the volunteers, and by extension, festivalgoers, who have come to Denver to sample and learn about the wide variety of great beers being made across the country.”

Held from October 2-4, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served in a public tasting event, alongside one of the most prestigious beer competitions and judging panels in the world.

Wild West Brew fest – Katy tx

 

The Wild West Brew Fest, Katy, Texas.

Katy is the home to the largest craft Brewfest west of Downtown; with over 400 taps and 90+ brewers and over a 100,000 square feet of pure craft beer nirvana this event will surely impress the most discriminating beer aficionados will be coming to the Katy Mills Mall for their 2015 event.

“The Villagio Town Center was a great location for us, however we have outgrown that venue” said David Loesch – event chairman. “We are excited about the opportunity that the Katy Mills Mall gives us. With well over 100,000 square feet to work with, we will be featuring more bands, more beer, a larger Hop House (VIP) expanding up to 82×82 from 60×40 – this will give our patrons what they are looking for, each year our Hop House sells out months in advance, we believe with the added space this will create a unique atmosphere for our patrons.”

They will also be featuring an enclosed climate controlled silent auction tent along with our one of a kind specialty bar in which every patron attending will be able to enjoy. The WWBF will be working with distributors to create a unique one of a kind Beer Garden, featuring some traditional along with some unique craft beer selections along with seating and lots shade. Along with the added space, they will be offering more styles and verities of beer, with over 70+ brewers participating in the 2014 event, they plan on enlarging that to at least 90 for the 2015 event.


All Ale to the Queen Beer Carnival – Charlotte NC

You’ll have to see this craft beer event to believe it. The Second Annual All Ale to the Queen Beer Carnival includes more than 100 unique and rare craft beers, aerial artists, glass eaters, a magician – all under one roof at Amos’ Southend in Charlotte, NC.
All Ale to the Queen takes the concept of a beer festival to the next level. As the “Official Closer” of Charlotte’s Craft Beer Week, this is an event not to be missed.

Breweries from Charlotte and other parts of North Carolina will be there, as well as some hand-picked regional craft breweries. Organizers ask brewers to bring a “special” or one-time brew along with their flag ship favorites, so you can be sure you’ll taste something you can’t buy at the local bar or bottle shop. You will also find the Mixology Bar with fresh ingredients like mint, strawberries, and whole cone hops to add to your beer. Other brew-related events include the Queen’s Twin where organizers pick a featured beer and invite participating brewers to create a clone of that beer for attendees to sample and decide whether they hit the mark.

Beyond the beer component of All Ale to the Queen Beer Carnival – DJ Allen Rockhouse will be jamming, the Beer City Hoopers will take hula hooping to the next level, and crowd favorite, the Charlotte Beer Girls will be on hand throughout the day. A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit the NC Wildlife Federation. Costumes are encouraged and this Craft Beer Event promises to WOW in a big way in its second year.


 

Bend Brewfest – Bend OR

Three days of craft beer bliss on the beautiful grass of the Les Schwab Amphitheater, along the banks of the Deschutes River in the paradise that is Bend, Oregon. Enough said…but we’ll keep going anyway.


 

Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza – Johnson City TN

 

The Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza, Johnson City, Tennessee.

You’ll never look at an orange the same way again.

Don’t ask us what an orange has to do with this incredible craft beer event, but we don’t care. It’s the beer we come for! The Fourth Annual Thirsty Orange Brew Extravaganza will take place on April 11, 2015 at the Millennium Centre in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Select brewers from Tennessee, North Carolina and beyond will be showing off their best and unique brews – culminating in a sampling of more than 100 craft beers. Try delicious beers ranging from pepper beers, double IPA’s to wild ales. The Thirsty Orange brings you beers you’ll never find anywhere else!

DJ Allen Rockhouse will be spinning the jams on the main stage. You’ll also find the Mixology Bar with shaved chocolate, fresh fruit, and other ingredients chosen to complement your beer. Throughout the day, a mobile infusor line will be making its way around the Beer Garden, running craft beer through the freshest ingredients. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Trout Unlimited, an organization that works to conserve, protect and restore coldwater fisheries in Tennessee and nationwide.
