This brew comes from Turning Point Brew Co. We first met the lads from Kirkbymoorside, Yorkshire, at Indie Beer Feast in Sheffield and immediately fell in love with their American Pale Ale; Disco King! At this point, the fairly new-ish brewery just existed in Yorkshire. We then saw them at their tap takeover at the Hop Garden Harborne, with a cracking line-up. Last month saw them getting their brews further afield, launching both Disco King and Vision Quest, Mosaic IPA in can! When Vision Quest arrived at our front door, we couldn’t help but admire the fantastic artwork by Lottie Walsh. At a nice 7% abv, this bad boy promises to be a BIG fruity IPA, so let’s check it out!…
Appearance: Hazy light amber, with a decent head that reduces down to leave a thin yet dense head.
Aroma: A bold hit of pineapple, tropical fruit and a splash of citrus, complemented by a subtle hint of pine.
Flavour: A big blast of tropical fruit, met with a bitter, hoppy, slightly dry finish and a creamy, smooth mouthfeel.
