Some Brews for Your Isolation Wishlist From Abbeydale Brewery!

Sheffield-based Abbeydale Brewery has installed a brand new canning line to help them adapt to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. This move has not only allowed the brewery to increase its production of small pack but to also release their much-loved flagship beer, Moonshine, in can. In addition, the brewery that was founded in 1996 has launched their first straight to can beer; Isolation Session IPA. We’re a big fan of these guys, who seem to tick all the boxes, creating a mix of traditional styles (like Moonshine) to their innovative Funk Dungeon barrel ageing and souring project. But it’s not only their great beers that we love but also their stunning artwork that accompanies every brew. This is why we just had to get our hands on some of their new cans!Abbeydale offer free delivery locally, but if you live further afield like us then they deliver nationwide via APC… which is super speedy, we must say! Arriving at our doorstep was Heresy lager, Wanderer NEIPA, Isolation session IPA and of course Moonshine Pale Ale. As always they completely smashed it on the artwork, but it's what's inside that counts right? 😉Abbeydale Brewery launch iconic beer “Moonshine” in cansHeresy Lager, 4.5% (Gluten free) - This was Abbeydale’s very first lager, very crisp, with a fresh and floral aroma and a subtle bitterness in the finish. Definitely one for the next heatwave!Abbeydale Brewery launch iconic beer “Moonshine” in cansWanderer NEIPA, 6.8% (Vegan & gluten free) - This NEIPA is Citra and Cascade Cryo hopped. It’s pretty juicy, with a citrusy sweetness, creamy mouth feel and well balanced bitter hoppy finish. Exceptional, especially for a gluten free brew!Abbeydale Brewery launch iconic beer “Moonshine” in cansIsolation Session IPA,  4.4% (Vegan & Gluten Free) - Inspired by current times, with the nation being encouraged to pull together and embrace the concept of staying home. This marks what has been a complete gamechanger for the brewery, with this beer brewed specifically for can only. Dry hopped with Enigma, Ekuanot & Idaho 7 this session IPA is awesome. A bold blast of passionfruit and pine in the aroma, tropical flavours, polished off with a well balanced bitter finish. For a 4.4%, this brew is bursting with flavour, naturally hazy and has plenty of oomph!Abbeydale Brewery launch iconic beer “Moonshine” in cansMoonshine Pale Ale, 4.3% - The recipe is exactly the same as their award winning cask beer, hopped with Willamette, Delta, Citra, Chinook & Centennial. A cracking mix of sweet citrus and pine aromas, followed into the flavour and finished off with a bitter, refreshing finish. Another one for a sunny Sunday session! Pre-orders are now live for this one, Moonshine cans launch on Tuesday 12th May via Abbeydale’s online shop.Hats off guys, we really enjoyed these awesome brews and it was great to get these while they were so fresh! Like many breweries at the moment, Abbeydale are having to embrace change and fight tooth and nail to keep the dream alive and supplying beer-lovers nationwide with their fantastic beer. So it’s important to continue to support independents like Abbeydale when we can! Cheers!
